The village of Meymeh is 75 km north of Isfahan in central Iran, near the town of Joshagan. This village is traditionally knotted carpets with the same characteristic design and easily distinguishable. The main feature of a Meymeh Persian rug is the red color of the field associated with secondary colors blue, green and yellow. This fantastic example of Persian rug Meymeh is characterized by a central geometric medallion which incorporates motifs and hues in the red frame, in contrast with the blue background of the field and the angular beige. The classic system consists of a diamond design topped with a floral pattern.
