The majolica in general belong to the category of technically defined "porous paste" ceramics. Sonoconosciute in the Ancient, Byzantine and Islamic East since the twelfth century.
The decorations of the Persian majolica remain unchanged today and offer the artistic vein of the local artisans.
They express in a sinuous intertwining of colors, the motifs of flora and fauna and, alternatively, the simplicity of the fish decorations, all with the use of mineral colors as well.
To enrich this art there are also the vitrification process and the double flame cooking (biscoto) whose techniques are also unchanged from their origins.
